Robot Service Technician Assistant (Robotics)

Location: Onsite in Columbus, Ohio, at the workshop at Ohio State University. Part-time evening schedule: 2–3 days per week, 7:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m., including possible Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. Remote work is not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Prepare robot hardware and software for daily deployment.
• Charge robots and batteries and manage overnight power cycles.
• Clean robots and maintain their external hardware.
• Assist with basic mechanical repairs, calibrations, and wheel alignment.
• Support hardware and software service campaigns across the fleet.
• Act as a hands-on field contact for remote support coordinators and maintain a clean, safe workshop.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Availability for 2–3 evening shifts per week from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., including possible weekend shifts.
• Comfort working in varied field environments.
• Ability to safely lift and move items weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• General computer literacy.
• Introductory experience or interest in electric vehicle service, automotive repair, or electronics.
