What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, cameras, and sensor fusion.
• Architect real-time C++ pipelines for object detection, classification, tracking, and sensor fusion in embedded systems.
• Define sensor selection criteria, integration standards, and validation processes.
• Resolve complex and non-standard perception failures and align perception systems with planning, controls, and systems teams.
• Deploy and configure perception systems at customer sites and lead integration activities.
• Mentor Perception Engineers I and II, document architecture decisions, and use AI coding agents to accelerate development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Expert C++ proficiency, including C++11 or newer, production multithreaded Linux applications, and embedded development.
• Depth in at least two areas: LiDAR point-cloud processing, automotive radar, image-based object recognition, or sensor fusion and tracking.
• Experience with ROS or ROS2 and DDS or publish-subscribe messaging.
• Working knowledge of machine learning, AI techniques, Python or MATLAB, linear algebra, probabilistic estimation, and coordinate transformations.
