Technical Architect, Auth0

Location: Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; Toronto, Ontario, Canada; or Washington, DC. The role requires in-person onboarding during the first week in San Francisco or Chicago and travel of up to 50%.

Salary: $224,000–$308,000 USD annual OTE for candidates in specified US locations. Additional ranges are listed for other US locations and Canada.

What you will do

• Lead the gathering and documentation of business, functional, and technical requirements for customer identity platforms.
• Translate customer requirements into solution designs and provide technical leadership throughout implementation.
• Support project planning and delivery for Okta Customer Identity Cloud deployments.
• Advise customers on B2C and B2B identity use cases, including registration, MFA, SSO, delegated administration, and social identities.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Participate in customer health checks, project reviews, and professional services delivery activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT, software development, solution design, or technical architecture experience.
• At least 3 years of consulting, application architecture, and IAM architecture experience.
• Experience implementing cloud solutions and integrating on-premises and SaaS products.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, or React.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Okta expertise, experience, or certifications.
• Knowledge of software security, cryptography, API gateways, CASB, reverse proxies, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Ruby, Python, Perl, Git, Subversion, or open-source development tools.
• TOGAF, CISSP, or relevant Okta certifications.
