Senior Systems Architect (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week in the Oakville, Ontario or Atlanta, Georgia office

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction of the shared platform layer, including service boundaries, contracts, and shared capabilities.
• Govern technical standards across architecture, engineering, and operations, from drafting and review through ratification and maintenance.
• Define cloud architecture patterns for multi-account environments, network topology, workload isolation, shared services, and resilience.
• Set architectural direction for identity and access management across product and corporate systems.
• Partner with Security to address public sector compliance obligations, including SOC 2, PCI DSS, and GovRAMP.
• Identify high-risk work, define remediation sequencing, advise the AI team, and participate in the Architecture Review Board.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years in architecture or staff-level roles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud, infrastructure, or IT engineering at production scale.
• Deep experience with organizational-scale AWS architecture, including multi-account environments, networking, workload isolation, and shared services; working fluency in Azure.
• Hands-on proficiency with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Strong identity and access architecture experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM.
• Experience leading technical standards or governance across teams through influence, consensus-building, and clear communication.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating technology estates after an acquisition.
• Experience delivering centralized AI capabilities, including model access patterns, data handling, and technical guardrails.
• FinOps experience and familiarity with cloud cost accountability frameworks.
• Public sector or govtech experience, or a professional-level AWS or Azure cloud architecture certification.
