Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite work in the Wilton factory. Compressed work week with 12-hour shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Occasional cleanroom work, campus movement, travel, and exposure to manufacturing hazards may be required. Access to controlled technology requires legal authorization under United States export regulations.
Base annual salary range: $0–$0 as stated in the posting.

What you will do
- Lead First Line Support personnel during assigned shifts and align resources with production priorities, technical needs, and shift objectives.
- Coordinate troubleshooting, engineering disturbance notices, technical escalations, and timely resolution of production issues.
- Serve as the shift communication point between the work floor, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, leadership, and cross-functional work centers.
- Monitor workflow, output, quality, cycle time, risks, and barriers while presenting daily shift reports and recovery actions.
- Coach, train, and mentor employees, identify team capability gaps, and implement containment and structural improvements.
- Support root-cause analysis, manufacturing procedures, technical work instructions, cycle-time improvement, and cleanroom troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or in science disciplines such as physics, materials, mathematics, or chemistry.
- At least 2 years of experience in production or manufacturing engineering and 5+ years in a high-tech production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating daily work, prioritizing tasks, leading shift execution, and supporting technical troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, containment development, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Experience coaching, training, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to engineers, technicians, or production employees.
- Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before beginning work.
Nice to have
- Experience with optical fabrication or assembly processes, including etching, optical polishing, lithography, optical contacting, coating, bonding, or interferometry.
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience and familiarity with statistical process control, PFMEA, Teamcenter, SAP, and production software.
- Ability to interpret optical tolerancing, specifications, and scratch-dig requirements.
- Direct people management or complex project management experience.
