QA Requirements Tester (Video Games)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite five days per week

Base pay: $13.85–$25.62 per hour

What you will do

• Execute QA test plans for pre-release video game software.
• Test functionality, balance, stability, performance, interfaces, artwork, sound, text, documentation, and other game components.
• Identify and document defects clearly in the assigned bug-tracking database.
• Work with production and development teams to reproduce and investigate issues.
• Complete regression and verification testing as required.

Requirements

• Familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres.
• Knowledge of popular console platforms, peripherals, PC software and hardware, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in video games, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to remain focused and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience testing software projects in a Quality Assurance role.
• Understanding of the software testing life cycle.
