QA Requirements Tester (Gaming)

Location: El Segundo, CA, United States; onsite five days per week

Salary: $13.85–$25.62 per hour

What you will do

• Execute QA test plans for pre-release video games across functionality, balance, stability, performance, interface, art, sound, text, and documentation.
• Identify and document defects clearly in the assigned bug-tracking database.
• Work with production and development teams to reproduce issues and clarify steps needed to locate and fix them.
• Complete regression and verification testing as required.
• Validate data content, first-party compliance, usability, playability, and hardware/software compatibility.

Requirements

• Experience and familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres.
• Knowledge of popular console platforms, peripherals, PC hardware and software, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in video games, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain focused in a team environment.
• Ability to work onsite in the El Segundo, CA office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience testing software projects in a quality assurance role.
• Understanding of the software testing life cycle.
