Test Automation Engineer – Senior

hirify.global is hiring for its Data Platform team within the Data Office department.

What you will do

• Design and implement automated tests that validate data accuracy and pipeline reliability.
• Review business requirements and technical specifications with business analysts and developers to improve testability and prevent defects early.
• Perform manual testing and develop automated Gherkin scenarios using the existing automation framework.
• Create and maintain QA documentation.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA Engineers, and other product teams on implemented functionality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of test design techniques and test coverage practices.
• Programming experience in Java, C#, Python, or TypeScript.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, groupings, and deep-level data validation.
• Professional experience with Spark, Spark SQL, Spark jobs, DataFrames or Datasets, and Delta Lake or one of its implementations.
• Understanding of BDD and hands-on experience with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar frameworks; strong Git, containerization, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. English and Russian at B1+ level are required.

Nice to have

• Scala, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, CI/CD tools, and Bash scripting experience.
• Familiarity with AI agents, skills, MCP, and integrating AI into testing workflows.
