Embedded Semiconductor Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

What you will do

• Design and build software tooling for semiconductor design and verification workflows.
• Develop firmware, drivers, BSPs, and low-level software that interacts directly with silicon.
• Build compute-farm and cloud infrastructure for large-scale EDA tool execution.
• Develop post-silicon validation tooling, programmable stimulus systems, test orchestration, and result aggregation.
• Create data pipelines, debugging tools, diagnostics, and infrastructure for hardware bring-up and silicon characterization.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, document systems, collaborate with hardware and EDA teams, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in semiconductor environments.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with EDA, verification, or post-silicon validation workflows.
• Experience with low-level hardware-software interaction, large-scale compute infrastructure, scripting, automation, and data pipelines.
• Must work as a full-time W2 employee in the Continental United States. No C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements are available.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SystemVerilog or other HDLs and familiarity with UVM-based verification.
• Experience with cloud-based EDA workflows.
• Hands-on experience applying ML to silicon design.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
