TL;DR
Flight Test Support Engineer (Aerospace): Supporting A220 production ground and flight test operations in Mobile with an accent on aircraft technical follow-up, configuration control, troubleshooting, and coordination across production, quality, engineering, and flight test teams. Focus on resolving technical and quality issues, maintaining flight-test information systems, preparing aircraft and tools, and improving operational maturity.

Location: On-site in the Mobile Area, Alabama, United States. The role includes domestic and international travel of 10–20% for training and certification, plus work around production areas, flight lines, airstrips, and hangars.

hirify.global develops and manufactures commercial aircraft, with the Mobile facility producing A320 Family and A220 aircraft.

What you will do

  • Coordinate communication between Production, Quality, Engineering, and Flight Test teams.
  • Represent Flight Test in technical review meetings with manufacturing, flightline, design, program, and quality stakeholders.
  • Follow up on technical and quality issues, aircraft anomalies, recurrent problems, and in-service events.
  • Screen Flight Test Requests, verify aircraft configuration, support anomaly resolution, and ensure Flight Test Engineers have the required tools.
  • Arrange identification cards for A220 production aircraft and maintain technical information databases supporting ground and flight activities.
  • Distribute information about new features and standards, support software updates, and contribute to continuous improvement and maturity initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 5 years of experience in aircraft technical support and/or troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of single-aisle aircraft systems, cabin architecture, and operational documentation.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
  • Fluent English is required; current US work authorization is required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work in production, flightline, and changing outdoor environments.

Nice to have

  • Pilot certification or an international equivalent.
  • Knowledge of French.
