What you will do

  • Partner with the Department Head to plan, coordinate, and execute departmental priorities and complex initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level analysis, recommendations, and decision support on operational and organizational matters.
  • Lead administrative and student service units while improving business processes, organizational effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate faculty appointments, onboarding, promotion and tenure processes, endowed positions, annual reporting, and related department administration.
  • Lead planning efforts, monitor progress toward objectives, and communicate outcomes to faculty, staff, college leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with faculty, students, alumni, industry partners, development teams, and communications teams to support departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of related management experience.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects with a high degree of independence and judgment.
  • Ability to support faculty affairs, administrative compliance, organizational planning, and executive decision-making.
  • Employment requires authorization to work in the United States and completion of federal Form I-9 verification.
  • Employment is contingent on credential verification and a criminal history investigation.
