Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Alternators)

What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term alternator manufacturing strategy.
• Scout, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems.
• Lead and coordinate New Product Introduction launches within Operations, particularly for alternator manufacturing.
• Develop area layouts, manufacturing processes, PLC programs, and process documentation.
• Support facility transformation, technology transfer, and maintenance of mixed-model lines and value streams.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and efficient product, material, and information flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
• At least five years of related engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automation, robotics, and PLC programming is valued.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean principles, process improvement, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in high-mix, low-volume and high-volume, low-mix production environments; occasional travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Generator, alternator, or electrical manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
