Academic Interventional Radiologist (Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology)

Location: MelroseWakefield Hospital in Melrose, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $425,000–$550,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.

What you will do

• Perform vascular access, biopsies, drainages, embolization, and other minimally invasive interventional procedures.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging to support safe and effective procedural planning.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and evaluate patients before and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgery, emergency medicine, oncology, primary care, and local care teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions, rounds, case reviews, patient education, and clinical documentation.
• Support quality improvement and community-based interventional radiology program development, with opportunities for teaching and research.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills applicable to a community hospital practice.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
