Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska, United States; remote work is available

Salary: $145,000–$155,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

hirify.global provides cybersecurity and engineering support for Air Force command-and-control and targeting software programs.

What you will do

• Perform ISSO duties and enforce Air Force cybersecurity policies and countermeasures.
• Manage user access documentation, account requests, ports, protocols, access control lists, and security-related configuration tracking.
• Support Risk Management Framework authorization and accreditation activities, including evidence collection and required security documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security configuration requirements such as STIGs and SRGs.
• Identify and coordinate remediation of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risks.
• Participate in system and network design, security evaluations, contingency planning, and authorization activities with government and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience, including 3 years supporting the Department of Defense.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity in DoD cloud infrastructure, Agile methods, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with STIG compliance, RMF implementation, A&A processes, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Experience with security risk and vulnerability planning, PKI management, access control, classified material handling, and security documentation.
