AI Cybersecurity Engineer

Salary: $139,440–$217,875 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support the secure design, development, deployment, and operation of enterprise and product AI solutions.
• Assess cybersecurity and compliance risks across commercial AI platforms, generative AI solutions, machine learning models, and internally developed AI capabilities.
• Integrate security controls through architecture reviews, threat modeling, design discussions, and security assessments.
• Develop recommendations for AI data protection, model security, identity management, access controls, model governance, and third-party risk.
• Help shape the AI security strategy, governance framework, security roadmap, standards, and executive presentations.
• Promote secure-by-design practices and AI security awareness across technical and business teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, cloud security, application security, security engineering, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of experience supporting AI, machine learning, data science, automation, or emerging technology initiatives.
• Experience evaluating risks associated with commercial SaaS platforms, cloud services, and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security controls, and industry best practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate complex AI and cybersecurity risks into practical recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience securing generative AI platforms, AI agents, copilots, machine learning environments, and AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with AI governance, responsible AI frameworks, AI threat modeling, model security, prompt injection, data leakage protection, model integrity, or AI supply chain security.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Services, OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, AWS AI services, Google Vertex AI, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, or related standards.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, Microsoft Security, or AI-related certifications.
