Mechanical Assembler (Automation)

What you will do

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, manuals, and written or verbal instructions.
• Assemble complex mechanical units, small electrical controls, motors, and machine sub-assemblies.
• Position, erect, align, level, fit, time, balance, and calibrate machine components.
• Inspect parts and assemblies using precision measuring and gauging instruments, including scales and calipers.
• Test machinery before shipment and assist customers with in-plant acceptance testing.
• Install, start up, service, and repair equipment; train customer personnel and prepare service reports and setup documentation.

Requirements

• Skilled mechanical assembly experience and strong problem-solving ability.
• Broad knowledge of assembly techniques, skilled fitting, alignment, calibration, and precision workmanship.
• Ability to build and wire small electrical controls and motors.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, hoists, and precision measuring instruments safely.
• Ability to follow dimensional, inspection, testing, operating, and safety requirements.
• Employment eligibility in the United States is verified through E-Verify.
