Associate Financial Advisor

Location: Charlottetown, PE, Canada; full-time on-site at PEI-University and Belvedere. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance is required.

What you will do

• Meet with personal and small business clients to understand their priorities and recommend personalized financial, investment, credit, and banking solutions.
• Manage a portfolio of mortgage clients and deepen client relationships.
• Prepare forward-looking financial plans and refer clients to Imperial Service and Business Banking specialists when appropriate.
• Build relationships through networking, marketing, outreach, calls, and community and banking centre events.
• Introduce clients to mobile banking applications and help them manage their banking needs digitally.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience providing financial advice and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
• Current accreditation and good standing in a Mutual Funds License through the Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada.
• Eligibility for CIRO-MFD licensing.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, goal orientation, client service, relationship-building, and digital literacy skills.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified Canadian location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• Availability for full-time on-site work, including possible evening and weekend banking centre hours.

• Current accreditation and good standing in CFSA (Certificate of Financial Services Advice).
