What you will do

• Develop and implement the university's information technology strategy in alignment with institutional goals.
• Manage daily IT operations across administrative and academic computing, networking, user services, telecommunications, and related functions.
• Advise campus leadership on technology priorities, projects, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop onsite IT personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and team building.
• Manage complex technical projects, vendor relationships, IT contracts, upgrades, renewals, and requests for proposals.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements for student, personnel, and financial records.

Requirements

• 8+ years of information technology experience, or equivalent experience leading IT strategic initiatives in a college or university environment.
• Current knowledge of technology trends and practices in higher education.
• Strong understanding of administrative, ERP, and SIS systems such as Banner, Colleague, or Jenzabar.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, and change leadership skills.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.
• Experience or certifications in IT service management best practices such as ITIL and project management such as PMI are preferred.
