What you will do

• Design and simulate RF GaN power amplifiers for wireless and defense applications.
• Perform electromagnetic modeling, circuit simulation, and RFIC layout using tools such as HFSS, ADS, and Cadence.
• Characterize and validate power amplifier performance through bench testing and RF measurements.
• Collaborate with process engineering, modeling, and applications teams to optimize power amplifier performance.
• Support technology transfer and design enablement for GaN RF platforms.
• Author invention disclosures, technical reports, publications, and conference presentations.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field.
• Research experience in RF or microwave power amplifier design, GaN device physics, or RFIC design.
• Fundamental knowledge of RF power amplifier design and GaN HEMT devices.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools, circuit simulation, RF measurement equipment, and technical reporting.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.

Nice to have

• Postdoctoral research experience.
• GaN power amplifier experience for defense, 5G, or satellite communications.
• Experience with Cadence Spectre, ADS, HFSS, load-pull measurements, large-signal modeling, and RF test equipment.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
