Текст:
TL;DR
Senior MMIC Design Engineer (RF/mmWave): Developing high-performance RF and millimeter-wave integrated circuits for next-generation satellite communication systems with an accent on power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, RF switches, and GaAs/GaN technologies. Focus on owning designs from architecture through tapeout and characterization, optimizing circuit performance, and integrating MMICs with RF systems, antennas, packaging, and transceiver ICs.
Location: United States - Remote
Salary: $170,000–$250,000 per year plus company equity
Company
develops high-power satellite platforms and communication systems for commercial and US government missions from low Earth orbit to deep space.
What you will do
- Design and develop power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, and RF switches in GaAs and GaN technologies.
- Own MMIC designs from architecture and topology selection through schematic design, layout, electromagnetic simulation, tapeout, and hardware characterization.
- Optimize circuits for output power, efficiency, linearity, noise figure, bandwidth, gain, and robustness.
- Develop test plans and characterize MMICs using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and load-pull systems.
- Correlate measured results with simulations and drive design improvements.
- Collaborate with RF systems, antenna, packaging, and transceiver IC teams on interfaces and system-level integration.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience designing RF or millimeter-wave MMICs in GaAs and/or GaN technologies.
- Demonstrated experience with power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, and/or RF switches, with deep expertise in at least one area.
- Strong knowledge of impedance matching, stability, noise, linearity, power handling, and nonlinear behavior.
- Experience with Cadence, Keysight ADS, electromagnetic simulation tools, or equivalent RF/MMIC environments.
- Must be a U.S. person under ITAR rules or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.
Nice to have
- Experience with wideband RF/mmWave circuit design and Ka-band or higher millimeter-wave frequencies.
- Experience with high-efficiency, high-linearity, and broadband power amplifier design.
- Familiarity with MMIC packaging, RF module integration, thermal considerations, and antenna or array interfaces.
- Experience developing MMICs for phased arrays, satellite communications, aerospace, or other high-reliability applications.
- Experience building new RF/MMIC capabilities from the ground up.
Culture & Benefits
- Remote work in the United States.
- Paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Life insurance and paid parental leave.
- Company equity and additional benefits.
- Accommodation support is available during the application and interview process.
