Cloud Operations Engineer

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required for federal customer engagements. Production deployments are scheduled on Fridays from 5pm to 11pm PDT on a rotating basis.

Salary: $108,000–$151,333 per year, plus potential bonus, commissions, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Support Friday evening production deployments, operating system patches, and highly available cloud services.
• Prioritize and resolve server, network, and storage incidents while meeting defined SLAs.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation scripts for testing and deployment.
• Configure monitoring, observability, and security tools, including Grafana, Prometheus/Thanos, Wiz, and OpenSearch.
• Collaborate with DevOps, support, quality assurance, operations, and other stakeholder teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience, an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or another cloud provider.
• Experience with containerized applications such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, SIEM applications, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Linux deployments and patching, including Ubuntu or RHEL, and familiarity with Python or Go.
• U.S. citizenship is required to support federal customer engagements.

Nice to have

• Ability to obtain or existing U.S. government security clearance, such as Public Trust or Secret.
• AWS, Azure, RHEL, or CCNA certification.
