Business Strategy & Operations Lead

What you will do

• Implement newly approved operational processes by creating documentation, planning training and rollouts, and reviewing adoption after launch.
• Lead cross-functional operational projects across finance, procurement, IT, facilities, HR, and program management from problem definition through sustainable handoff.
• Own headcount planning, demand and supply forecasting, resource-allocation tooling, and the backlog of operational process gaps.
• Define the operational knowledge-management and information architecture, including Confluence or similar platforms, and improve data workflows across Teamcenter, Boltline, ERP, and related systems.
• Translate executive review decisions into initiatives with owners, timelines, resources, and follow-through while coordinating working sessions and reporting progress to executives.
• Build program-level economic models with Finance, support budget and investor reporting, assess operational risks, and connect technical and schedule decisions to plant economics and capital requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategy, business operations, program management, or management consulting, ideally in hardware, deep-tech, or complex engineering environments.
• Experience designing and rolling out operational processes, including training and post-implementation follow-through.
• Experience with headcount planning, demand and supply forecasting, workforce modeling, facilities or space planning, and strong analytical and financial modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings across engineering, finance, procurement, IT, and executive stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Experience in fusion, aerospace, defense, or other capital-intensive hardware development environments.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP, business data systems, Confluence, BI and analytics platforms such as Looker or Tableau.
• Experience establishing or scaling a PMO in a matrixed engineering organization.
• PMP or similar certification.
