Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year.

Company

hirify.global develops fast fission power plants, nuclear fuel recycling technologies, and domestic supply chains for critical radioisotopes in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and national laboratories.

What you will do

  • Lead technical projects and government-funded collaborations related to spent nuclear fuel recycling and pyroprocessing technology.
  • Develop project scopes, statements of work, work packages, budgets, schedules, roles, success criteria, and acceptance criteria with national laboratory partners.
  • Negotiate and coordinate internal approvals for contracts, subcontracts, cooperative agreements, CRADAs, Strategic Partnership Projects, and DOE funding agreements.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Recycling engineering teams, and leadership to resolve contractual, financial, intellectual property, compliance, and execution issues.
  • Manage deliverables, technical reports, milestones, invoices, funding profiles, risks, action items, and project closeout.
  • Develop new collaboration opportunities by translating Recycling Division priorities into projects suitable for national laboratory or DOE engagement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in technical project or program management, national laboratory engagement, government contracting, research administration, engineering management, or a related role.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional technical projects with external partners, contractual deliverables, budgets, schedules, and milestones.
  • Experience developing scopes of work, work packages, project plans, reports, or other formal technical deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong project controls, organizational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity and influence without direct authority.
  • U.S. person eligibility may be required because the role may involve information subject to U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

  • Experience collaborating with DOE national laboratories, DOE offices, or programs such as DOE-NE, DOE-ID, ARPA-E, DOE-SC, DOE-OTT, or DOE-NNSA.
  • Experience with CRADAs, Strategic Partnership Projects, interagency agreements, grants, cooperative agreements, subcontracts, or similar mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with government contracting, intellectual property, export control, data rights, compliance, and research and development partnerships.
  • Technical experience in nuclear energy, fuel cycle, chemical processing, advanced manufacturing, or another highly regulated engineering environment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Startup environment focused on efficiency, autonomy, creativity, and solving open-ended problems.
  • Collaborative, humble, ownership-driven, and pathfinding culture.
  • Flexible time off, flexible work hours, equity, bonuses, and competitive pay.
  • 401(k), employer-contributed health insurance, HSA, FSA, and wellness credits.
  • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening, with testing possible in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
