PSC Manager (Phlebotomy)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite patient service center work.

What you will do

• Manage daily phlebotomy operations for the designated patient service center.
• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, verify patient identities and test requisitions, and prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Maintain specimen integrity, collection records, quality-control logs, and operational KPIs.
• Coordinate schedules, draw statuses, vendors, supplies, customer feedback, and small operational escalations.
• Support onboarding, training, and retraining of phlebotomists as patient volume grows.
• Resolve unusual or incomplete test orders with physicians, pathologists, nursing stations, reference laboratories, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• At least 5 years of high-level customer care experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General knowledge of phlebotomy and mobile phlebotomy services.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• A state phlebotomy license must be submitted with the application where required by state regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or supervising phlebotomy operations and teams.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Phlebotomy certification where not mandated by state regulations.
• Financial and budgetary experience.
• Bilingual language skills.
