Senior Software Engineer in Test

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 118,000–162,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Review requirements and design specifications and create test plans and test cases.
• Automate API, end-to-end, reliability, and scale testing.
• Plan engineering efforts with engineering management and document quality engineering plans for scrum teams.
• Review application code, identify defects and weaknesses, and design tools for expanded test coverage.
• Automate critical features to support reliable, secure releases with zero test debt.
• Respond to production alerts and customer issues during the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience, including 3+ years working with enterprise-level software.
• 5+ years of automation development experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with Selenium, TestCafe, Postman, JMeter, Locust, Splunk, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in test planning, cross-team collaboration, design and code review, and delivering high-quality code on schedule.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and non-HTTP protocols such as SSH, RDP, TLS, and LDAP.
• Experience with networking concepts including IP addressing, routing, and firewalls.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing.
• Previous experience in an enterprise SaaS company.
