Software QA Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Base salary: 82,900–120,780 CAD annually, plus annual bonus.

What you will do

• Validate features and products for the Universal Asset Insights platform with QA and development teams.
• Automate test execution using industry-standard and internally developed tools.
• Create and validate integrations with network controllers, cloud providers, virtualization platforms, and containerized or orchestrated environments.
• Perform unit, system, API, UI, integration, and performance testing across cloud and on-premises deployments.
• Provide technical input on product architecture, software design, testing approaches, and quality automation.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Support, Project Management, and global Engineering teams on roadmaps, documentation, releases, and customer issues.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Experience with API, UI, integration, and performance test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of operating systems, software services, communication fundamentals, system architecture, design patterns, and asynchronous communication.
• Experience testing service-oriented, distributed, cloud-based, on-premises, virtualized, containerized, or orchestrated systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Networking concepts and protocols are helpful but not required; experience with AI-assisted testing and quality automation is preferred.
