Collaborating Physician (South Carolina)

Location: Remote, but candidates must reside in South Carolina and have their principal practice location physically based in South Carolina.

Salary: $200/hour for 10 hours per week, structured as a 1099 independent contractor fee.

What you will do

• Serve as the collaborating physician of record under written nurse protocol agreements filed with the South Carolina Medical Board.
• Co-sign nurse practitioner clinical notes and charts according to each protocol agreement.
• Provide clinical consultation during scheduled availability windows.
• Participate in regular collaboration meetings with nurse practitioners to review cases, care patterns, and quality concerns.
• Conduct required periodic chart and medical record reviews.
• Provide oversight without direct patient care, an independent patient panel, or hands-on clinical services.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license as an MD or DO.
• Residence and principal practice location in South Carolina.
• Comfort with a remote and asynchronous consultation model.
• Availability for scheduled clinical questions, periodic collaboration meetings, and regular chart reviews.
• Prior experience with nurse practitioner or APRN collaborative or supervisory relationships is preferred.
