Mid-Level Software Developer (Python)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid work model with 2 days working from home.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Python backend applications.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, modify, and unit-test applications.
• Identify and recommend improvements to the existing codebase.

Requirements

• BSc or BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with relational databases and Git.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Native English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework; FastAPI is the primary API framework.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related workflows.
• Familiarity with ORM-Repository patterns, SQLAlchemy, or SQLModel.
• Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
