Lead Software Engineer (PHP/Laravel)

What you will do

• Lead development of the affiliate and partner platform, including onboarding, tracking dashboards, commission statements, payout visibility, and campaign management tools.
• Build partner-facing experiences with PHP/Laravel and Next.js, focusing on usability, performance, scalability, and operational reliability.
• Architect attribution, conversion processing, postback, deep-link tracking, and fraud-prevention systems.
• Develop commission engines supporting CPA, revenue share, hybrid, and multi-tier partner structures.
• Build auditable payout, reconciliation, and approval workflows for financially sensitive systems.
• Own sprint planning and technical direction while mentoring engineers and collaborating with Partnerships, Finance, Product, and Operations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership or squad ownership responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on expertise in PHP/Laravel, Next.js/React, and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience with affiliate platforms, attribution systems, referral engines, martech infrastructure, or partner ecosystems.
• Strong knowledge of attribution tracking, conversion pipelines, commission logic, fraud prevention, and payout workflows.
• Database architecture and optimization experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with AI-native engineering workflows and modern AI coding agents.

Nice to have

• Experience building technically complex customer-facing or partner-facing platforms in high-growth environments.
• Experience using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI coding agents.
