Agent Strategist (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $200K–$290K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the agent development lifecycle from initial scope through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration.
• Translate complex business goals and customer problems into AI agents that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Advise enterprise executives on AI strategy and work directly with customer teams through build and launch.
• Lead working sessions, troubleshoot agent issues, and make decisions that keep projects on track.
• Build agents for order management, product discovery, in-store support, booking, payments, disputes, cart recovery, win-back campaigns, and subscription renewals.
• Surface customer needs and feed insights back to research and platform teams to influence product direction.

Requirements

• Strong customer focus and experience building trusted relationships in complex organizations.
• Clear, direct, and persuasive communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Technical aptitude, including reading API documentation, understanding data models and system architecture, and discussing engineering tradeoffs.
• Experience running multiple complex, high-visibility projects and driving them to measurable outcomes.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, equivalent practical experience, and/or an MBA or comparable technology-business experience.

Nice to have

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production, including evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Founder, founding-team, or operator experience.
• Experience in financial technology, financial institution implementations, or financial services security and compliance, including fair lending and PII handling.
