What you will do
- Prepare pediatric patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update health information, and document visit details.
- Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff while maintaining efficient patient flow.
- Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure setup, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
- Clean, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
- Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while protecting patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a medical assistant, or documentation of eligibility to take an approved certification examination; certification must be completed within six months of employment.
- American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Zero to two years of relevant experience.
- Strong computer skills.
Nice to have
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
