Salary: $41.20–$55.62 per hour

What you will do

• Produce cardiac and other diagnostic images using ultrasound and non-invasive physiologic equipment.
• Review procedure requisitions, document orders, and record patient and procedure information in the hospital information system.
• Explain procedures, expectations, discharge information, and result availability to patients.
• Prepare images for interpretation through printing, post-processing, and archive retention procedures.
• Perform equipment calibration, quality control testing, daily disinfection-system inspections, cleaning, and supply checks.
• Apply patient safety, infection control, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort procedures while reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.

Requirements

• Must be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Echo.
• Must be a registered RVT.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care and follow hospital and department safety procedures.
• Successful candidates must complete a criminal-history background check in accordance with applicable Illinois and federal requirements.
