Location: Must live in Iowa; hybrid/remote arrangement. Work may require travel to MercyOne Iowa Heart Center offices and campuses in West Des Moines, Des Moines, Ankeny, and Waterloo.

What you will do

• Perform Holter monitor testing and scanning according to established protocols.
• Analyze electrocardiogram recordings, interpret arrhythmias, identify adverse rhythms, and notify nurses or physicians.
• Review medical records, prepare and educate patients, document symptoms and monitor strips, and route reports for physician interpretation.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR and billing system while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Maintain, stock, order, and coordinate repairs or replacements for monitoring equipment.
• Travel to other Iowa Heart Center offices or campuses as needed and support quality assurance, staff orientation, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Must live in Iowa.
• Holter technician experience is required; EKG, arrhythmia training, or telemetry monitoring experience is preferred, with on-the-job training available.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge are required or preferred as applicable.
• Obtain the CCI Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician exam within 18 months of hire.
• Complete Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire and obtain Basic Life Support certification by the end of orientation.
• Valid Iowa driver's or chauffeur's license, eligibility to drive under Iowa law, and compliance with Mercy's motor vehicle safety standards are required.
