Sonographer - Ultrasound - Per Diem

What you will do

• Produce high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images for radiologist interpretation.
• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards and ARDMS ethical requirements.
• Conduct abdominal, small-parts, obstetric, gynecological, musculoskeletal, pediatric, neurological, breast, vascular, and liver elastography exams.
• Support invasive procedures, operating-room cases, and biopsies, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, thyroid FNA, and renal and liver biopsy.
• Act as a liaison between patients, licensed practitioners, and support staff while applying independent clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Follow departmental exam protocols and collaborate across hospital and specialty ultrasound locations.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited CAAHEP sonography program recognized by the ARDMS.
• Compliance with the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required before hire.
• ARDMS registration is preferred; registry-eligible candidates must obtain registration within 12 months of accepted employment.
• Vascular registration is required within 18 months of accepted employment.
• Previous diagnostic medical sonographer experience and familiarity with neuro-sonology, vascular, abdominal, obstetric, and gynecological scanning are preferred.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification during employment.
