Engineer, Product Development (Fiber)

Location: Onsite in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico

What you will do

• Create plans for future-state manufacturing and lead implementation of new products.
• Develop capable processes to support the fiber growth strategy and assess equipment, labor, space, and budget requirements.
• Track production yield, productivity, downtime, quality, cost, delivery, inventory, and other process metrics.
• Apply engineering techniques to solve problems in new product introduction, design, redesign, and troubleshooting.
• Lead Lean improvement activities, including 5S and value-stream performance improvements.
• Provide technical and safety guidance, support project planning, and collaborate with customers, R&D teams, suppliers, technicians, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Process Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, quality core tools, manufacturing processes, and equipment.
• Ability to analyze capacity, production performance, corrective actions, and process feasibility.
• Strong accountability, interpersonal, supplier and customer communication skills.
• Availability to travel.
