Medical Assistant Psychiatry Full Time

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, collect vital signs, update medical information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist practitioners with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain exam rooms, instruments, equipment, vaccines, and medications.
• Communicate with patients and members of the healthcare team in person and by phone.
• Maintain patient confidentiality, follow safety procedures, and complete administrative and delegated specialty duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification exam; certification must be attained within six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work onsite in Winfield, Illinois.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
