Medical Assistant - Primary Care Bucktown Full Time Days (Primary Care)

Location: 1776 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL; onsite day-shift role

Salary: USD 19.13–25.83 per hour

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient intake, room preparation, documentation, and efficient patient flow.
• Obtain vital signs, update patient information, identify acute symptoms, and communicate relevant changes to providers and registered nurses.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, CLIA-waived testing, and other procedures under established protocols.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment, stock exam rooms, maintain vaccine and medication inventory, and safely dispose of expired items.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while maintaining confidentiality and supporting patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant or documentation confirming eligibility for an approved certification examination.
• Medical assistant certification must be attained within the first six months of employment.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago during the day shift.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
