Cardiology Tech Full Time Days

Location: Palos Heights, Illinois, United States; onsite day shift

What you will do

• Prepare patients for ECG testing and other cardiology procedures.
• Identify abnormal test results and alert physicians about critical values according to policy.
• Apply Holter monitors and provide patients and families with instructions.
• Obtain consent, instruct patients, and monitor them during procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and Cardiology department staff to maintain patient stress-procedure flow.
• Clean and maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and support procedure activity reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of previous ECG experience or a certificate from a licensed Cardiology training course.
• Ability to maintain age-appropriate technical and patient-assessment skills.
• Availability for scheduled daytime shifts and compliance with hospital safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Successful completion of a required background check.
