Emergency Department Technician CDH Full-time Nights

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States. Onsite, full-time night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with an every-third-weekend rotation.

Salary: $20.73–$29.02 per hour

What you will do

• Provide emergency patient care, monitoring, observation, treatments, and procedures within the defined scope of practice.
• Collect clinical data, report findings, and identify changes in patient condition for emergency nurses and physicians.
• Perform vital signs, cardiac monitoring, 12-lead ECGs, pulse oximetry, capnography, oxygen administration, and blood glucose testing.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, start and discontinue IVs, and manage intravenous maintenance fluids.
• Provide wound, eye, orthopedic, and basic patient care, including splints, dressings, irrigation, and assistance with examinations.
• Assist with emergency code situations and prioritize patient care under nursing and clinical shift leadership.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted EMT-P license, or EMT-B certification with at least one year of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Relevant experience may include military service, private ambulance, fire department, or healthcare work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work onsite in Winfield, Illinois, including 7 p.m.–7 a.m. shifts and every third weekend.

Nice to have

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
