Staff Nurse (McHenry Infusion Clinic)

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill patients and develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Deliver and document nursing interventions while evaluating patient responses and updating care plans.
• Direct and coordinate care provided by assistants and other members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff on care delivery and outcomes.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is accepted with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Work 36 hours per week in 9-hour day shifts, with schedules rotating between 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; no weekends or holidays.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
