National College Leadership Program Trainee (Event Operations and Sales)

Location: San Diego, California, United States. The role requires working at a hotel location within major metropolitan markets and includes flexibility to relocate. Training may also include instructor-led sessions at the corporate office in Chicago, Illinois.

Salary: $70,304–$70,305 per year, plus potential bonuses or incentives after placement.

What you will do

• Complete a five-month Manager in Training program with technical, operations, and sales rotations.
• Participate in hands-on learning at event venues alongside field leaders.
• Prepare for placement in an operations, production, associate producer, or sales management role.
• Manage floor operations, service delivery, staff leadership, performance management, and development in operations assignments.
• Control workforce and inventory costs while meeting organizational goals.
• Guide customers through event experiences, identify solutions, and support event and revenue capture in sales assignments.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree with a BA or BS.
• At least one year of related professional experience or a combination of employment and internships.
• Strong interest in a management career with advancement opportunities.
• Excellent communication, listening, presentation, leadership, and customer-service skills.
• Technical aptitude and interest in new technology.
• Ability to work at a hotel location in a major metropolitan market and flexibility to relocate.

Nice to have

• Degree or experience in hospitality, business or management, communications, event management, theater, operations, technology, or a related field.
