Vendor Managed Inventory and Inventory Optimization

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $105,050–$161,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Define and govern the global vendor-managed inventory strategy, operating model, policies, and performance framework.
• Establish inventory entitlement and ownership strategies across suppliers, hubs, and factories while optimizing inventory levels and supply continuity.
• Lead the disposition and monetization of excess, aging, and obsolete inventory through consumption, redeployment, supplier returns, resale, brokering, or write-downs.
• Partner with Finance and Procurement on inventory valuation, working capital, cash flow, profitability, and recovery-value decisions.
• Lead cross-functional transformation across Planning, Procurement, Finance, Operations, suppliers, and broker partners.
• Develop analytics, dashboards, and exception-based management processes, leveraging AI for inventory entitlement, risk prediction, and monetization decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Procurement, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in inventory planning, vendor-managed inventory, supplier-owned inventory, inventory finance, and working capital optimization.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional organizations and drive enterprise-scale transformation.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or an advanced degree preferred.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, process governance capabilities, and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with excess inventory management, inventory recovery, supplier returns, or resale channels.
