Inpatient Clinical Informaticist (Epic)

Salary: $41.10–$61.65 per hour

What you will do

• Serve as an Epic and EHR subject matter expert for inpatient physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, care managers, dietary staff, and other clinical users.
• Analyze clinical and operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design improvements that support patient care, safety, quality, and teammate experience.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, resolve complex application issues, and collaborate with IT and operational teams on system enhancements.
• Lead or participate in EHR analysis, design, testing, implementation, upgrades, release support, and documentation.
• Use clinical data, reporting tools, dashboards, and usage analytics to develop actionable insights and measure implementation effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver competency-based training, job aids, and onboarding support while mentoring clinical informatics teammates.

Requirements

• Work onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, nursing, or a related healthcare field.
• Epic Clinical Module Certification, or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
• Three to five years of clinical experience with extensive clinical technology systems experience, or three years of clinical informatics experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, coaching, workflow analysis, and clinical information system lifecycle skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business, healthcare, or information technology.
• Licensed clinical professional credentials.
• ANCC informatics certification or an equivalent non-nursing informatics certification.
