Associate, US Venture Credit Solutions - Innovation Banking

What you will do

• Underwrite, manage, and report on loan accounts for venture-backed technology companies across the US and Europe.
• Monitor portfolio accounts for compliance with lending terms, financial covenants, and reporting requirements.
• Analyze due diligence findings, borrowers’ financial condition, account status, and complex capital structures.
• Prepare credit applications, financing proposals, credit memoranda, recommendations, and related correspondence.
• Review legal documentation, approve loan advances based on document compliance, and assist with negotiations.
• Maintain relationships with assigned clients and collaborate with relationship managers, senior underwriters, sales, and business development teams.

Requirements

• Experience in commercial lending or adjudication, with knowledge of loan structuring and the marketplace.
• Background in technology lending, sponsor finance, and/or commercial banking.
• Understanding of corporate finance and the ability to evaluate complex capital structures and financial information.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Technology, or a related field.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified San Francisco location; a valid work or study permit is required where applicable.
• Strong analytical thinking, client service, portfolio management, and communication skills.

• Advanced business degree or professional designation such as MBA, CFA, CA, CGA, or CMA.
