Reporting Data Analyst (SQL)

Location: Norfolk, Virginia, United States; hybrid schedule with onsite work in the office three days per week.

Salary: $73,900–$110,900 per year, excluding potential bonuses and equity programs.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain data programming solutions for data quality, business-rule analysis, hypothesis testing, and strategy decisions.
• Perform data mining, cleaning, preparation, analysis, and troubleshooting across large datasets.
• Write and execute SQL and T-SQL queries and scripts, including data imports, exports, joins, and database connections.
• Build and support dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Analyze process changes, maintain monitoring and control mechanisms, and support compliance with policies and procedures.
• Document data changes, testing, and processes while supporting senior data leads with projects and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in data mining, data analysis, report building, and SQL.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including inner, left, and right joins, SQL Server data transfers, ODBC connections, and T-SQL scripting.
• Experience creating dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Experience mining, cleaning, managing, and imputing data, with the ability to investigate and resolve data issues.
• Strong communication skills, business curiosity, and the ability to work with stakeholders.
• BA/BS degree in a STEM, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or other quantitative field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Excel and GitHub.
• Experience with Oracle or Microsoft Fabric.
