Environmental Compliance Specialist II (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Tulsa, Oklahoma or Shelby, North Carolina. Full-time office shift, 40 hours per week, with 10–25% travel.

Starting base pay: $85,731–$105,903 per year.

What you will do

• Manage assigned environmental compliance programs, permits, plans, inspections, monitoring, reporting, recordkeeping, and regulatory deadlines.
• Interpret federal, state, and local requirements covering CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, SPCC, SWPPP/NPDES, air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, Tier II, and TRI.
• Perform environmental calculations related to air emissions, regulatory thresholds, waste generation, wastewater loading, stormwater, chemical inventories, and TRI reporting.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and coordinate permits for new or modified equipment, processes, and facilities.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments; investigate incidents and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide training and technical guidance while coordinating with facility teams, consultants, laboratories, waste vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental compliance, EHS, or a related field.
• Experience independently managing environmental programs, regulatory reporting, inspections, or permitting activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Natural Resources, Occupational Safety, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of environmental permitting, reporting, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Advanced skills with Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cloud-based applications.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
