Senior Software Engineer (Libra - Legal AI Assistant) (m/w/d)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid role with at least eight office days per month. Remote work is available up to three days per week, with the option to work from anywhere within the EU for up to 20 days in a 12-month period.

hirify.global's Legal & Regulatory division develops Libra, an AI platform for legal professionals that combines legal reasoning with generative technology.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain product features across backend APIs and frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, high-performing user experiences.
• Apply architectural and engineering best practices to ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to technical decisions and help shape the engineering culture.
• Explore and integrate AI tools and agents to improve developer productivity and product capabilities.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant product software engineering experience.
• Strong Python experience, particularly with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Solid TypeScript proficiency.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices and security principles.
• Experience with AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Excellent English communication skills and availability for the hybrid Berlin office schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte.
• Experience building or contributing to LLM-powered products.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• German language skills.
