AI Engineer (LLM)

Location: Germany; fully remote, hybrid, or onsite options available. Candidates must be based in Germany and have the right to work there.

Salary: €70,000–€100,000 per year, plus 0.5–1% equity.

BoWatt is building agentic requirements and systems-engineering software for complex manufacturing industries, including automotive, aerospace, factories, semiconductor, and medical-device manufacturing.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-powered features using large language models.
• Build multi-step agent workflows that reason over requirements documents and system specifications.
• Integrate AI systems with internal data sources to expand agent knowledge.
• Identify customer use cases where AI can improve the product experience.
• Deploy AI features into production environments with the engineering team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year working with LLMs.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities and working with AI APIs, tools, or frameworks.
• Strong interest in agentic technologies and the ability to own implementations end to end.
• Knowledge of security, data privacy, and data hygiene in agent integrations.
• Based in Germany with the right to work in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases such as Qdrant, Weaviate, or pgvector.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Azure AI Foundry, or other Azure products.
• Experience with React, Vue, Svelte, or a similar modern web technology.
