Data Center Technician

Location: Lauterbourg, France; onsite at the data center

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including MV/LV distribution, grounding, and UPS systems.
• Operate and maintain HVAC and cooling systems to support optimal temperature and energy efficiency.
• Use the Building Management System to identify issues early and restore operations quickly when incidents occur.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and coordinate external subcontractors.
• Develop predictive maintenance approaches and contribute to infrastructure strategy.
• Share technical knowledge with other technicians and support the construction of a new HPC facility.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in facilities, HVAC, or electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems.
• Experience with MV/LV electrical systems, UPS, and BMS platforms.
• Valid electrical safety or HVAC certification, or an equivalent qualification.
• Safety-first mindset, reliability under pressure, and availability for on-call rotations.
• Good English communication skills and the ability to work with technicians and external contractors.

Nice to have

• German and/or French language skills.
• Data center or industrial facility experience.
• Technical diploma or vocational training in electrical engineering, HVAC, or facility management.
