VMware ESXi / Virtualization Engineer (Industrial IT)

Salary: EUR 2,525–4,075 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Administer VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter environments.
• Provision and maintain virtual machines for engineering and project environments, including templates, access management, updates, and lifecycle operations.
• Configure basic virtual networking and coordinate with network engineers on VLANs, port groups, and routing-related activities.
• Monitor system stability and performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support VMware-to-Proxmox migration assessments, planning, and execution.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
• Experience provisioning virtual machines for engineering or project environments.
• Basic L2/L3 networking knowledge for troubleshooting and configuration within virtualization environments.
• Understanding of reliability, access control, and change management in industrial environments.
• Experience in OT or Industrial IT environments.
• English at Intermediate+ level or above.

Nice to have

• PowerShell or PowerCLI experience.
• Experience with VMware upgrades and migrations.
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox.
